Zuma Out Ramaphosa In
The outgoing President of South Africa Jacob Zuma resigned on 15 February, beating the move to oust him formally by a a vote of no confidence. Karma is a bitch since he orchestrated the removal of his predecessor in the same way. The new President Cyril Ramaphosa was elected and sworn in the next day. The PLP issued the following statement:
15 February 2018
The PLP warmly congratulates Cyril Ramaphosa upon his election as the new President of South Africa. We renew our fraternal ties with the African National Congress and pledge to work with their new Leader and the President of the Republic for world peace, justice, economic empowerment and the elimination of poverty and all forms of discrimination.
On behalf our Leader Philip Davis, our Parliamentary team and all supporters, we wish the new President the very best .
