WHAT WILCHCOMBE SAID THEN AND WHAT HE SAYS NOW
“I think internal political warfare will separate us from the national love affair that we must regenerate with the Bahamian people,” Wilchcombe said.
“We do not need to have division of our organization when the bigger picture is a message that will relieve the country of the pains that we suffer now.
“Our party must focus on the national issues. We must bring all the forces together, all the minds together in every island of The Bahamas and begin to master a plan that would allow us to be responsive to the needs of our country moving forward.”
Today, Mr. Wilchcombe told a meeting organized by him on Friday at which he indicated that he will run for Chairman of the PLP despite his previous words and the advice of the Leader not to do so, when asked if were elected Chairman at the upcoming convention of the PLP from 25 to 27 July 2019: “ I intend to sit down with the Leader and Deputy Leader to make sure we are on the same page.”
