THEY BURY MARCIAN COOPER
He was one of the good men from the Valley, that old neighbourhood of upwardly mobile middle class Black Bahamians who helped to make The Bahamas what it is today. He served for 37 years at the Ministry of Tourism. He was ordained recently a Minister of Religion. When he died of skin cancer last week, there was an outpouring of sadness that a 58 year old man has simply gone too soon. He was buried on Friday 28th September 2019. The photos of the funeral of Marcian Cooper are by PETER RAMSAY. Former Prime Minister Perry Christie and former Minister of Tourism Obie Wilchcombe spoke at the funeral. Also there was former Minister of Tourism Vincent Vanderpool and Chairman of the PLP Senator Fred Mitchell and MP PICewell Forbes.
