THE PRESS IS WRONG ABOUT BRAVE DAVIS
The nose of the sanctimonious press of The Bahamas was all out of joint last week because Prime Minister Philp Davis called them out on the alarmist headlines they have been running about homicides in The Bahamas. He said that they should keep the murders off the front page. They drew themselves up: the idle and unintelligent talk show hosts, the mainstream newspapers, all of them righteously indignant. They screamed that the Prime Minister was seeking to suppress the press. They know that this is nonsense. His comment was a legitimate complaint which citizens everywhere have and that is the ability of the press to sensationalize and report without context. So take your holier than thou attitude and stick it. No one is buying it, for a minute.
