THE PLP VISITS BIMINI | 12 October 2018
The Leader of the Progressive Liberal Party Philip Davis led a delegation to Bimini for a Branch meeting there. Joining him was Senator Fred Mitchell, Chairman of the PLP. There hasn’t been a real PLP meeting like the one in Bimini in a long time. Obie Wilchcombe the incumbent candidate for the PLP was there with other aspirants Lewis Astwood and Randy Rolle. Mr. Wilchocmbe spoke and Mr. Astwood spoke. Mr. Wilchcombe pledged to re-nominate Fred Mitchell for Chairman and his loyalty to Philip Davis as Leader. He said that the party should be unified. Glenys Hanna Martin explained her bona fides to the crowd and said that she believed that there ought to be unified position going forward. Mr. Astwood paid out his plans if he got the nomination for the Bimini and West Grand Bahama seat.
