THE NEED TO RECRUIT A NEW GENERATION OF PLP LEADERS
Last week the PLPs in Grand Bahama and in Freeport were in deep morning after losing one of our stalwarts Loretta Jones. She was a fixture in PLP meetings in Grand Bahama and in the campaign for the PLP there. They called her “Mrs. Pindling” : such was her devotion to duty and the PLP. Last week the family decided not to take any extraordinary measures after she fell ill and so she passed away. That generation is slowly gone and the question is: what future does the party have unless it is recruiting new members? Party Chairman Fred Mitchell used the opportunity last week to remind the party of the need to recruit new members to the party.
