The Judges Visit From The Privy Council
Says that wise sage Candia Dames of the Nassau Guardian: “WHY? WHY? WHY?
The law lords of the Privy Council in our Court of Appeal were in suit and tie today, while the Bahamian jurists were in the colonial wigs and gowns. Why do we persist in hanging on to these vestiges of colonialism?”–Candia Dames 21 February on Facebook
The law Lords from the Privy Council heard four cases. From all accounts they had a great time what with outriders and police guards, and a trip to Albany and a trip to Highbourne Cay on an 80 foot yacht and the black tie dinner at Paradise Island. A goodtime was had by all during the past week.
