THE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY’S FIRST DEBATE IN THE NEW TERM

It was fascinating watching all the first timers get up and deliver their maiden addressees in the first debate in the House of Assembly for the term.  Even though, it was not a substantive debate but one thanking the Governor General for his speech from the throne, it gave the opportunity for those who were first timers and the veterans to say what the country can expect from them.  Judging by the first time out, this will be a high standard.  Let us hope that Mr. Davis can hold his team together until the next time up for general elections.
