THE FNM ABANDONING THE ATHLETES FOR OLYMPICS?

Senator Fred Mitchell speaking in the Senate on Thursday 24 June 2021 said that the Bahamas Olympic Association is not receiving the support that it should for the athletes to travel to Tokyo this summer. He asked the Minister of State for Finance whether the Association has received its subvention for the year so that the necessary support could be given. The Minister did not have an answer. He pledged that the PLP would refund  sports after the defunding by the Free National Movement.
