THE CENTRAL BANK RELEASES A USELESS LIST
(Do your friggin job)
It is time for us to look at new leadership at the Central Bank. It appears that the leadership at the bank does not get or understand the dire straits in which we now find ourselves as consumers in the banks of The Bahamas. The consumers in this country are not served well. They are mistreated, with bad service and overcharged. The Central Bank is supposed to be the closest we get to a protector, yet they stand aside and look. Last week in a tepid response to the complaints, they published a set of fees of each of the banks. What that was supposed to do is not entirely clear but the publication essentially pleased no one. The fees are usury and they are unnecessary. The Central Bank should be the protector, stopping the fees or ordering their removal or reduction with immediate effect.
