THE BANKING FEE SCANDAL.. FOULKES NOW COMPLICIT
With his usual flair for histrionics and publicity (sound and fury signifying nothing), Dion Foulkes, the Labour Minister who is also responsible for Consumer Affairs announced that he had secured an agreement with the Clearing House banks and the Central Bank to reduce the fees in banks and to put chart up like they do with gasoline prices so that the banking fees can be tracked by consumers. That amounts to exactly nothing from these thieving banks in The Bahamas who rip off their customers and give little in the way of service. All it means is that the Minister and the Central Bank are now complicit and have given their blessing to the new way of banking in The Bahamas. No service and high costs. You must pay them to keep your money.
