THE BAN ON HAITIAN TRAVEL SHOULD BE LIFTED

Each week Bahamians of mainly Haitian descent are stuck in Haiti unable to come home because of the unwise and discriminatory ban on Haitians travelling lawfully to The Bahamas.  It is clear that this does not stop Haitians from coming here but those who want to come the right way have no legitimate way of doing so at the moment.  Hubert Minnis put a ban in place and so from February of this year, no Bahamian could travel to their home country from Haiti.  Crazy.  This is just a patient country.  In any other country there would have been a revolt.. But now it is time for the PLP to act and remove the ban forthwith.  There needs to be no discussion about it.  Just lift the ban.
