TEARING DOWN THE SHANTY TOWNS

The Government seems at last to be moving at a rapid pace to tear down the shantytowns in Abaco and New Providence.  It has taken long enough.  The injunction obtained by the quizzical Fred Smith to stop them from being taken down, has been discharged and the tractors are now at work.  The government has not gotten any respite from the criticism though.  You would think that since this was such a hot topic with the public that the public could at least say thank you.  But now the other critics are jumping in with both feet saying that people are being dislocated without any place to go.  But good job as far as we are concerned.
