Teach The RBDF How To March, How To Shoot And Lose Weight
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s reputation has taken quite a battering this last month, with the murder allegedly by one of its own in a shocking breach of security duty for which they are charged at Government House. The Force led the official observances to say farewell to Petty Officer Philip Perpall at the Church of God Auditorium on Jo Farrington Road on Thursday16th May. The thing that struck us is the parade afterwards. Someone needs to teach these fellows and women how to march. They were completely out of step. They all seemed overweight as well. It did not paint a very compelling or flattering picture of a set of marines who seemed unfit and out of step. That public image speaks volumes of what may in fact be the situation in a force which is supposed to be guarding our heritage.
