STATEMENT FROM FRED MITCHELL MP FOX HILL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ON THE DEATH OF SETELLA COX NEE DILLET MY GODMOTHER
8 December 2016

I learned with great sadness this morning of the death at 12:50 a m today of my beloved godmother Setella Cox nee Dillett. The flower of Chippingham has passed away. She was 83 years young. She was a protector, a stand in mother, and an all round booster of my cause. I am deeply grateful to her and to the choice my parents made for her to stand at the font in St Agnes Church in my stead way back in 1953. With her passing, all of those who were there that day at St Agnes have gone on. She was predeceased by godfathers Roderick Turnquest and Levi Gibson. My thoughts are with her husband of 57 years George and her son the artist John Cox ( who is my godson), his wife and their children at this time. May she and my godfathers rest in peace.
