RBDF DEFENDING THE SOUTHERN BORDER

The Commodore of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Raymond King announced last week that as a result of the latest developments in Haiti the RBDF has moved assets to the southern Bahamas to enforce a blockade to prevent the spill over of migrants from Haiti into The Bahamas.  Good luck there.  The numbers are likely to be substantial if things really spin out of control.  But so far it appears that this year the enforcement has been working.  It is important for this to work because the Bahamian public is agitated by the level of Haitians in the society.  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the diplomats from The Bahamas have been withdrawn from Port Au Prince.
