Preston Moss Gravely Ill
We remember in our prayers today Monsignor Preston Moss who is gravely ill and was flown back from hospital in Minnesota by air ambulance on Friday 8 March 2019 to spend his last days in The Bahamas. Rev. Moss has been struggling with throat cancer. He is former rector of the St Anselm’s Roman Catholic Parish in Fox Hill and he was the Vicar General of the Roman Catholic Diocese. He is the most senior Roman Catholic Priest in the country, having been ordained over 50 years ago. He began his life as an Anglican as a member of St Agnes Church and converted to Catholicism at the age of 16. The photo shows the arrival of his special flight and a file photo of the Monsignor at work. The head of the Catholic Diocese Patrick Pinder issued the following statement upon the Monsignor’s arrival back in The Bahamas:
“Msgr. Preston Moss is safe back among us. He arrived this afternoon. He is receiving nursing care to ensure that he is as comfortable as possible. His condition is such that he is unable to receive visitors. I urge all to be respectful of this.” Archbishop Pinder
