MISS BAHAMAS WELCOMED BACK HOME: the pretty woman on top of the car is Chantal O’Brian. The nation was in a swoon. She returned home from Eilat, Israel where she got to the semifinals and in the top ten in the Miss Universe Pageant on 13 December 2021.  This is said to be a first for a Bahamian. When she returned home, the country gave her a motorcade.  The Ministry of Tourism announced that she would get a job at the Ministry and the Culture Minister announced a special unit to support pageantry. Not bad for a lady who said she was homeless just before leaving for Israel. Our photo of the week. ( Tribune image)
