PETER TURNQUEST MISLED THE HOUSE
That was how the Minister of Finance Peter Turnquest tried to weasel out of his misleading accusation against the PLP first that some of the money (42 million dollars) for hurricane relief had been lost or stolen or was somehow misappropriated. Then he said he wasn’t saying that, he was saying it could not be found. The PLP told him that he was talking poppycock and making up stories particularly when he said that the money was diverted by the PLP for their political campaign. A damnable and bold faced lie. Now comes the confession, admission whatever name you want to call it. He got testy with the reporters over it: “Am I speaking Greek? The money is in the consolidated fund just as they said”. There you go.
