Party Award From Saving Clifton Coalition
Rev. C B Moss and his Coalition to Dave Clifton were at he forefront of the civil society effort to beat back the plan to develop the last heritage slave site on New Providence, the old Whyly Plantation. On Wednesday 10th April 2019, the Coalition presented plaques to those who were instrumental in support of the fight. One such body was the Progressive Liberal Party who in Opposition promised that when they came to power in 2002 they would acquire the land and put into the public land bank, converting it into a heritage site for the public. That was done. The presentation took place at Poop Deck West in Nassau and was made by Rev. Moss and Bishop Walter Hanchell. The photo shows Obie Roberts Vice Chair of the PLP accepting the award with Steve McKinney, radio personality, Bishop Hanchell and Rev. Moss.
