MITCHELL SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT FOR PINTARD
Michael Pintard, the Leader of the Opposition, has the habit of making overly broad statements which are often scurrilous and inaccurate. On Wednesday 5 March 2024, he spoke in the House of Assembly and continued with this inaccurate and wrong assertion that The Bahamas government is broke, that it has problems raising cash, that it is cash strapped and that The Bahamas government has been acting illegally with regard to public expenditure. Fred Mitchell, PLP Party National Chairman, responded by saying that the public shouldn’t believe Mr. Pintard. Mr. Mitchell pointed out that the evidence will show that on a number of previous occasions Mr. Pintard and other FNM spokesmen had made assertions about the PLP and its policies which were manifestly and on the face of it untrue and so there was no reason to believe what he was saying on this occasion.
