Mitchell Calls Out D’Aguilar’s Hypocrisy

The Progressive Liberal Party congratulates the people of The Bahamas and especially for the working stakeholders in our number one industry on winning the Caribbean Travel Award for best destination of the year 2018.

This achievement is the direct result of the strong leadership , vision and hard work of the last Christie-led PLP administration.

For this we thank him and his executive team.

There can be no question that the world class mega resort, Baha Mar, played a major role in the transformation of the Bahamas tourism product and securing this prestigious award for The Bahamas. We thank the principals and staff for their vision, focus, confidence and hard work, even as current Tourism Minister, Dionisio D’Aguilar, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis and the FNM aggressively conspired to undermine this important project at every turn.

Their pernicious efforts failed, therefore, this is an undeserved award for D’Aguilar and the current political directorate of the government.

We again condemn their behaviour and hypocrisy.
