When he graduated from the Codrington College and the University of the West Indies a generation ago with first class honours, he was surely headed to being the Bishop of the Diocese of Anglicans in The Bahamas.   He was a particular favourite of Michael Eldon, the first Bahamian Bishop.  That was not to be, but in the forty years or so since then he has made his mark as a pastor and as an archdeacon and as civic activist.  He helped the church come to terms with the humanity of women by being married to and allowing the church to be comfortable with women as priests.  He married the first female Anglican priest the former Angela Bosfield. Congratulations Archdeacon James Palacious on your important milestone as priest.
