INGRAHAM TELLS MINNIS DON’T SEND A BOY TO DO A MAN’S JOB
One of the side stories from the swearing in of the Governor General C A Smith on Friday 28 June 2019 is that Hubert Ingraham and Perry Christie, the former Prime Ministers were there. They sat as they always do together. The two men have both refused to accept the national honours bestowed on former Prime Ministers that of Order of the Nation. Mr. Ingraham it appears is set to refuse it again. He told Mark Humes MP, the Chairman of the Commission, at the swearing in that he must tell Hubert Minnis what to do with the award, since Mr. Minnis does not respect him enough to call himself and ask him to accept the award, choosing instead to send a boy, that is Mark Humes, to speak to him about it. The conversation was filled with the expletive beginning with the letter ‘F’. We wonder if Mr. Humes delivered that message.
