for sale times;”>The Grand Bahama Human Rights Association (GBHRA) has again made allegations of an inflammatory nature with regard to the detention and treatment of a detainee now charged for an alleged offence and now on remand. The detainee, his counsel and the GBHRA are free to take such remedies as the law allows but it should be careful not to assert information which is inflammatory, untrue or prejudicial.
In the case of the detainee named by them as with all detainees, the department follows the law and the orders of the court. The information we have does not comport with the allegations made by the GBHRA. The matter continues under active review.
