The late Winston Saunders when he was the Chair of the Independence Celebrations said that each community in the country should find a way to celebrate their independence in their own special way. Fox Hill started 13 years ago with the 12th Bahamas Scot troop raising the flag the week after the national ceremonies. This year was no different and prominent citizens of Fox Hill were honoured by Senator Mitchell: Nurse Celeste Lockhart, Beryl Wright, Evageline Rahming, Irene Rolle, John Rolle, Miriam Roker, Essie Ferguson, Sylvia Godet, Sabrina Pinder, . The sermon was delivered by Bernard Road Church of God’s Pastor Daniel Hall.
