Bumpy Watkins Still Causing Political Trouble
Errington “Bumpy” Watkins has been in almost every political party in the country. He was the last Chairman of the dread racist United Bahamian Party and led the Abaco Independence Movement form his seat as the MP for South Abaco in the run up to the 1972 general election. He ran unopposed by the PLP in the 1982 general election and lost. He supported the FNM, cialis sales then turned against Hubert Ingraham. He supported Perry Christie of the PLP for a while when Mr. Christie arranged for him to get a consultancy job teaching agriculture at the prison. All of that has gone now. He is now a DNA supporter, the latest evidence of that, the sad picture of a wild looking octogenarian in Bay Street with a placard supporting the pitiful demonstration of Branville McCartney and his gang of DNA supporters on Wednesday 31st August.
