ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE IN GRAND BAHAMA

The insult to the Choir Director Kevin Tomlinson and the Children of the Grand Bahama Youth Choir by the manager at the Memories Resort first reported on this site has now taken a political turn. The Freeport society is outraged across the board but an unfortunate series of impatient Facebook posts led to the matter becoming divisive. The Government acted immediately to summon the Manager to the Immigration Department. This was described on Facebook as a flam transaction designed to fool the public. The matter awaits due process. There is no doubt that Memories has to reconsider who they have managing this property. Labour Minister Shane Gibson sent in a Labour team and they reported that the comments were true and that there is a need to take some form of action. Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell and Grand Bahama Minister Michael Darville spoke to the issue and promised that given time the matter will be resolved.
