A HOUSING PROGRAMME BY THE PLP’S JOBETH
There was a resolution passed in the House of Assembly on Thursday 28 April 2022 to transfer from the Accountant General, aka the Treasurer some 35 acres of land for a housing development, to build affordable homes. This is a promise made by the PLP in its Election Blue Print. The development replaces the cockamamie scheme, cooked up by former Prime Minister Hubert Minnis to produce what he said was homes for professionals, by providing service lots at an under price. Dr. Minnis tried to defend the fact that he built no house during his term in office. The PLP’s response was just that, you cannot lecture the PLP on a housing programme when during his time he built not one house. We want to congratulate the Minister of Housing JoBeth Coleby Davis for getting started.
