THE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

The Cabinet Office has announced that Tuesday 27 December 2022 will be a pubic holiday observed as Boxing Day,  Christmas Day which falls on Sunday 25 December 2022 will be observed as a public holiday on 26 Monday  December 2022 and Monday 2 January will be observed as New Year’s Day a pubic holiday.  Stores can open on those days but will have to pay any employee on that day double time.
