On The Passing Of Greg Christie
From the Office of the Leader of the PLP
On the passing of Gregory Christie
13th August 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of a fellow warrior, supporter of the progressive movement and friend, Gregory Christie.
Greg was faithful and played an important role in our work generally, but specifically in Grand Bahama where he served as a public officer at the Bahamas Information Services (BIS).
However, I would like in particular to recall the role that he played as a writer in making sure that the PLP’s election machinery was well oiled and in tip top shape. You could count on Greg anytime and anywhere. He had his ear to the ground and knew the pulse of Grand Bahama.
He came to the table of politics with a background of civic involvement mainly in sports but also in his church. We will miss him dearly.
Our party is grateful beyond measure for all that he has done for us.
On behalf of my wife Ann, myself, our Deputy Leader, the Chairman, our Parliamentary team and the entire PLP family, I express condolences to his family in their moment of grief.
May his soul rest in peace.
