ANDRE ROLLINS: STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

Try as he might to explain away the treachery which he and Loretta Butler Turner wrought upon Hubert Minnis, it does not wash.  Here is man who was plucked from obscurity by the Leader of the PLP Perry Christie, given a safe seat.  He blew that chance by attacking the man who brought him into politics, then was out as party whip and head of the Gaming Board, both cushy jobs which required nothing more than sitting pretty and smiling.  He couldn’t even do that.  He went rushing like fools often do into the FNM, saved the hide of Dr. Hubert Minnis, then Leader of the FNM from a coup that the MPs were then planning.  He stopped that along with Renward Wells MP who also left the PLP.  It wasn’t a good month before he then attacked Dr. Minnis and said he was not fit to lead.   Now he has signed a letter to get rid of Dr.  Minnis as Leader of the Opposition.  He says that he is working now to get rid of Dr. Minnis as Leader of the FNM because he doesn’t know what he is dong. With respect, it is Dr. Rollins who does not know what he is doing.  He is no longer FNM and so has no say in that party.  Lost in space.  It is called treachery.  It is called ungratefulness.  It is called instability.  It is called stupid.  As we look at all that has happened with him over the past five years, we say as they said in the movie Forest Gump: “Stupid is as stupid does.”
